Ben and Clare play in soccer grand finals

Ben and Clare both played their soccer grand finals on Sunday 13th Septmber.

Ben’s team won 2-0 and Ben received best on ground after doing a lot of saves to keep a clean sheet

Clare lost 3-1, the opposition scored all their goals in the first half and Clare’s team tried their hearts out in the second half but could not put the ball in the back of the net often enough, Clare had a great game in defense.

Flying my flag

In August 2009 Tante Annelie, Peter, Maria, Gina and I went to Sydney Olympic Stadium to watch the mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs sleigh the St.George Dragons. The game was shown of Fox Sport and the final vision of the telecast was of yours truly celebrating the victory with a fine flagwave.

Inara makes contact

A week can be very long time. On Saturday 5th September I received a new entry on my guest book from Liana Vilcins. Liana explained that she had a visitor from Latvia that hopes to be related to the Cudars family. I excitedly emailed the elders of the family to let know of the discovery.

Tante Annelie made contact and arranged to meet with Liana, her husband Valdis, his cousin Aija from Latvia and our new relative Inara Atteka. Inara’s relationship to our family was confirmed and expressed her interest to visit her grandfathers brothers son, Jazeps in Orange. On Wednesday Inara traveled to Orange. We enjoyed a great lunch and spent the afternoon looking at photos, talking (lucky we had some good interpreters) and laughing. It was great to watch Inara and Jazeps talk in Latvian enjoy each others company. Five days after Inara made contact with us she had meet half the Australian Cudars clan and has opened life long communications between Australia and the mother land.

Indigo Mow

Uncle Drew has started a lawn mowing business in the Indigo Shire called ‘Indigo Mow’. I thought that a better name was ‘Fat man on a mower’..but what do I know about marketing.

I have set up a subdomain for Indigo Mow so spread the word if you know anyone in the Indigo / Albury / Wodonga area.
